Is BBDM effective?

Our program has demonstrated significant success for children who enrolled before the age of five and remained in the program for a minimum of two years. Regardless of the severity of their autism and dyspraxia, all children naturally developed speech without articulation errors or minimal errors.

Furthermore, 71% of participants were successfully mainstreamed, receiving varying levels of support, ranging from some assistance to none at all.

While speech development is ensured in 90% of cases, comprehension levels may vary. Children may experience plateaus in auditory and reading comprehension, influenced by their cognitive abilities. Therefore, the primary focus of our program is to prepare children for independent living, regardless of their cognitive functioning.

Historically, we have successfully discharged and mainstreamed children with mild Autism in 6 months or less. Children who have moderate to severe Autism stays with the center for at least three years. Children have shown improvement in overall functional skills. They have acquired fundamental skills necessary for future employment opportunities.

We are committed to mainstreaming children with autism regardless of their  challenges. However, achieving this goal is ambitious and requires intensive therapy within a specific timeframe. While incremental progress is good, exponential progress can only occur when therapists collaborate together towards a common goal.

Our clinic is the sole provider in the Bay Area offering an intensive early intervention program with comprehensive multidisciplinary services all in one location. Upon acceptance into the program, we conduct periodic assessments, establish weekly/monthly goals, and meet with parents monthly to address any concerns regarding their child. We consistently meet the annual goal set forth by the public school within a timeframe of one month.
