Our Extra-curricular Classses

At Brain and Body Autism Center (BBAC), we believe in inclusion and growth for every child. Our program is open to both neurodivergent and neurotypical children. We focus on building essential life and learning skills, regardless of a child’s current abilities. Our goal is to help neurodivergent children learn alongside neurotypical peers and prepare all children for greater independence, confidence, and success.

Gymnastics

Many autistic children face challenges with gross and fine motor skills, which are essential not only for physical development but also for speech, imitation, and social engagement. At BBAC, we prioritize motor development to bring each child to the level of their peer group.

  • Gymnastics sessions are offered in both 1:1 and group formats.

  • Children who need more support start with 1:1 sessions to learn basic skills.

  • As they gain confidence and control, they are transitioned into group sessions to encourage peer interaction and independence.

💲 Cost: $55 per session

Piano

Children on the autism spectrum often have a strong affinity for music—some even have perfect pitch. However, learning to play an instrument like the piano can be difficult without significant adaptations, especially due to fine motor challenges.

At BBAC:

  • We offer individualized piano instruction that adapts to each child’s needs.

  • Even children with coordination difficulties can succeed, and all our students learn to play with both hands and read music notation over time.

  • Our teachers are trained to work with neurodiverse learners and have a track record of success, regardless of diagnosis.

💲 Cost: $50 per session

Music & Socio-Recreational Games

Many autistic children struggle in social settings simply because they haven't had the chance to learn how to play structured games, both indoor and outdoor.

At BBAC, we explicitly teach the rules of play and provide guided practice:

  • Outdoor games: tag, soccer, basketball

  • Indoor activities: board games, card games, chess

  • Creative hobbies: knitting, weaving, and more

Children play in mixed groups under supervision, learning social rules, turn-taking, and cooperation—all while having fun.

💲 Cost: $30 per session
